The Bible and Church Architecture. Understanding the Sacramental Meaning of Church Buildings. When people say that their church looks "churchly," they usually expect color, images of saints and fine materials. More than just a cultural convention, properly ornamented Catholic churches depend on biblical theology of the church building as an image of heaven and image of Christ. This talk will explain how the Temple of Solomon, with ornament and proportions given in scripture, still provides today's church builders with inspiration as a foreshadowing of Christ's Incarnation and the salvation of the world.

Feeding the hungry is a Corporal Work of Mercy. Help us fill the Catholic Charities truck with non-perishable food items. Drop off your food donations at the Catholic Charities truck before any weekend Mass. We need volunteers to help load donations at Masses. A great way for families to serve together. Sign-up here.

Because not every child gets a birthday. The Respect Life group will hand out cupcakes at each Mass October 7 & 8 as a witness to life.

Catholic Charities is in need of gently used Men's and Youth shoes in any size/style. * Bring your gently used shoes to the Catholic Charities food truck the weekend of October 7/8. All shoes donated will benefit local Catholic Charities offices. *Please, no women's shoes. Catholic Charities' greatest need is for Men's and Youth.

Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ will sell wildflower bouquets, handmade bracelets, whole coffee beans, and homemade banana bread at all Masses October 14-15. Proceeds benefit their ministry.

Support the Knights of Columbus as they raise funds for the Kansas Special Olympics. The Knights will be collecting free-will donations and handing out Tootsie Rolls at all Masses.

All Saints Day is Wednesday, November 1st and is a Holy Day of obligation. Mass times are 7am and 7pm.
