Doug O'Neill

Doug joined the staff at St. John Paul II in November 2024, after four years serving as Director of Formation in Sacred Music and Liturgy at Christ the King School and Christ the King and Blessed Sacrament Churches in Kansas City, Kansas. A skilled and dedicated organist, choir director and educator, he has a particular love for cultivating the skills of children in service to the liturgy and recovering the rich tradition of the Catholic choral tradition. 

A native of Indiana, Doug holds degrees from the University of Evansville, University of Iowa, and University of Kansas, where he completed the Doctor of Musical Arts in Organ and Church Music. 

Doug lives in Kansas City, Kansas with his wife Sujin Yoon, who teaches at Chesterton Academy in Kansas City, Missouri, and their son Evan, who attends Chesterton.
