Fernando became part of the St. JPII family in December 2022, he was born and raised in the enchanting valley of Orizaba, located in Veracruz, Mexico, near the towering Pico de Orizaba, the highest volcanic summit in North America. At the tender age of 13, Fernando's journey as a servant of the Church began when he took on the role of organist at Mass, embarking on a lifelong commitment to serving God through music. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in music conducting, Fernando holds a master's degree in music composition and arrangement, complemented by a bachelor's degree in music.
In his role as Director of Sacred Liturgy, Music & Art, Fernando embraces the opportunity to contribute his talents to the vibrant community of St. JPII. He eagerly anticipates the chance to meet fellow parishioners and spearhead the development of choirs and the overall music program, and he warmly welcomes inquiries related to children and adult choirs, cantoring, and other music-related volunteering endeavors.
